I can already tell Natalia has musical talent. Anything pertaning to music she shows great interest. She loves her little keyboard. Soon she will be playing on the big keyboard! Soon as in a few years. :)

Attempting Cereal

Mommy, I said I don't want anymore!

Fine. One more spoonful I guess.

So we took Natalia for a follow up appt with her doctor last week, and he said she is okay to start cereal. Natalia on the other hand is not too sure of this. At first she was a little suspicious of it, but after awhile she ate a little bit. However, the next day when we gave it to her she decided to take the spoon away from me and hide it behind her head. As if she was saying, "give me my milk now momma!" I still haven't figured out a good time to give it to her. Obviously when she is really hungry she does not want to take the time to eat off a spoon. And by the time she finishes her milk she is normally full. So I decided to give her milk and then stop and give her cereal. Well, she still wasn't too sure of it, and I think the majority ended up on her bib and her face. Oh well. We will keep trying and she will eventually get the hang of it. I think she is doing great so far.

Trick or Treating with Uncle Bruce

Well of course Natalia didn't get to go door to door asking for candy this year, but she had fun watching everyone else do so. Originally I was going to dress her up as a dalmation dog. However, with the weather being so warm this year I opted for a more lightweight costume so Natalia wouldn't get overheated. She wore her bunny rabbit costume instead. She still made it adorable. Cutest little bunny every. Especially with her bunny basket. We walked the Pumkin Path (downtown Carterville) with her cousins and watched them trick or treat. Natalia stared in awe at all the kids dressed up in their costumes. Everywhere you looked there were clusters of people. Pretty busy if you ask me. I miss the old days when you could go door to door and trick or treat. After the Pumpkin Path we paid Grandma Gin and Grandma and Grandpa Maurizio a visit. Natalia finally got some goodies!! She got cereal from her Grandma Gin and baby food and formula from Grandma and Grandpa Maurizio. And of course Mommy and Daddy got some goodies too. :) Can't wait until next Halloween!

Natalia's first trip to Shelbyville

So I've really slacked at updating my blog. It seems like all I do anymore is work, and I never have time to get to things on my "to do list". But I'm going to change that. From now on I'm going to try to update my blog at least once a week. We will see how that goes.

Anyway, a lot has happened in the last month and of course I don't have time to cover it all but I will hit a few notes. Natalia took her first trip to Shelbyville to visit her Grandma and Grandpa Goodwin. It was also the first time she had seen her Uncle Mike since she was born. My mom had a diaper shower for Natalia and I got to see a lot of friends I hadn't seen for a long time. It was so nice to see everyone again; I miss them all so much. Natalia got tons of stuff which we are very thankful for. I'm still working on getting the thank you cards out!

Natalia got to watch her first parade also! She started off trying to sleep through it but when the band went by that changed. She decided there was too much to look at to sleep. She got to meet new people and see new things. We had a blast and plan on going back over the Christmas holiday. I can't believe she will be 5 months at Christmas! I'm so looking forward to it!
